A MESSAGE FROM PASTOR JOE

Do you want to do something a little “crazy like Jesus” that is totally “beyond us”?

Jesus said in Matthew 16:18 “I will build my church, and all the powers of hell will not conquer it.” The way Jesus builds the church is through people. Reality Church has always shared God’s passion for the local church, and for it to be impactful. We have an opportunity to partner with the Holy Spirit to see God do things way beyond us - so much greater than we could do on our own.

Jesus has given us a special church. Most years since the church began, we have worked together to give above our normal offerings around the end of the year. This has enabled our church to do more for us, as well as the community that we love.

Would you take a few minutes to pray through the opportunities below, and ask God what amount He’d lead you to give in this special year-end offering?

We will collect this offering throughout December. You can give online toward it anytime, mail a check (Reality Church, 2301 Harrisburg Pike Suite 100, Lancaster PA 17601), or drop your offering off at church. Mark your offering “Beyond Us”.

WORLD MISSIONS: $50,000

As a church family, we are excited about our continued partnership with two amazing missionary families:

  • Philip & Bia in the Amazon

  • Toni & Aida who serve in Brazil.

Both of these couples work full time to introduce people to Jesus and help them grow as disciples. As we approach the end of the year, we can be a part of Jesus’ work in people’s lives all around the world! Your giving will allow them the capacity to fulfill projects that will reach and disciple more people. Here are some of the current needs for their ministries.

Philip & Bia

For their work in the Amazon, there are lots of supplies needed. These include the following: riding lawn mower for the 765-yard-long airstrip in the village; projector for use with the children in Sunday school, the library, and the translation team; chainsaw for milling lumber, and clearing jungle for garden plots; Stilh MS 661 (this is a piece of equipment they use all the time in the jungle, both for personal projects and for working alongside the Katxuyana); 50 plastic chairs for the church and library; 15 HP Outboard Yamaha motor for travels in and out of the villages and in-between villages.

TONY & IDA

In Brazil, several important projects and needs are on the horizon. One initiative involves gathering supplies to create 150 food boxes filled with basic food items and ingredients, aimed at feeding underprivileged families while also sharing the gospel with them. Additionally, there are plans to prepare shoeboxes filled with school supplies and toys for children in low-income households during the Christmas season. Tony and Ida are also praying and actively seeking funds to purchase a car in Albania, which will be used by pastors, leaders, and their team for ministry purposes.

LOCAL OUTREACH: $60,000

Our church is actively involved with the Hempfield and Lancaster City communities. There are several opportunities to fund special projects that will serve people in need in our community. These funds will also go toward the renovation of an expanded space for mid-sized meetings, upstairs in our Hempfield location. Your giving to local outreach will go toward:

  • A Mental Health Seminar for Women held at Reality Hempfield

  • Partner with existing local compassionate ministries

  • Bereavement - helping families inside and outside our Church

  • Loft Room at Reality Church’s Hempfield Campus for more people to gather and experience Jesus

CHURCH PLANTING: $125,000

Reality Church believes church planting is the most effective way to introduce people know Jesus, help people find a church home, and make disciples.

Every time a church is started more people come to know Jesus, more disciples are made, and many more people are engaged in God’s mission for the world by using their gifts.

In the coming years, we’d like to start another church! Your giving will go directly to that.
